Large Open Spaces

This layout features small adjoining stations installed next to each other. The style works best for freelancers, as well as small business owners who do not need a lot of floor space. People assume large open spaces will be noisy. They are, in most instances, quiet and free from distractions. You can provide a few meeting and collaboration rooms along the periphery of your office with this layout for tasks that need privacy.

Many technology companies, such as Facebook and Google, follow an open-plan office layout. These office spaces offer a wide range of benefits, including increased collaboration, decreased construction expenses, and more opportunities to build relationships.

An open-plan layout for your office is something you can consider. Cubicle

This marks the most popular floor layout. Here, workstations will be set as cubicles with three walls that act as partitions. The cubicle layout offers the highest level of privacy among all office layouts. This layout also helps control noise levels in the office. Some barriers used for cubicles even have soundproofing properties to mitigate sound.

There are downsides to following a cubicle layout. Cubicles limit the natural light coming into the office. You can, however, limit this by opting for glass panels rather than heavy wall opaque dividers.

Half Partitions

These work much like cubicles, but the height of the dividers are shorter than ordinary cubicles. The half partitions, in this instance, absorb some amount of noise and act as space dividers.

Half partitions are less private compared to cubicles. They mostly suffice for workplaces where people work in teams and when you want to allow some natural lighting. If you’re going to introduce half partitions to your office, make sure that you have closed spaces dedicated for private conversations.

Team Enclosures

These allow members in one team to work without distractions. Team enclosures work best for creative teams that rely on discussions and brainstorming sessions. The enclosures, however, might not offer as much privacy. They tend to limit the number of team members that they can accommodate in one section.

Cubicle, half partitions, team enclosures, and large open spaces are just some of the layouts you can consider for your office. With one of these office layouts, you can maximize even the smallest of floor spaces without having an office that looks too cramped.
